QuaranIPA
- One minute read - 196 words.So after my first beer it was time for a second one. Especially since the country was in a lock down during the corona pandemic. So there was not that much things that we could do. And since I already accumulated some equipment like pots and pans, I ordered a refill package at the Brouw Broeders.
When the refill package arrived my wife got tested positive on Corona so we needed to go into quarantine. So I figured that was a good time to start brewing my second beer. Hence the name QuaranIPA.
I also ordered an iSpindel and used that in my fermenting stage. In essence it’s a small floating device that can be used to track the fermentation process. When the sugars are converted into alcohol by the yeast the angle of the iSpindel will change. This is then used to determine where we are in the fermenting process.
In the end the beer turned out great, although the recipe was exactly the same the beer tasted totally different. This is what I like when brewing beers you can make so many different flavours. So it might be time to go a step further…
