AWS Community Day 2022

On the AWS Community Day I gave a short talk about CodeCommit. I asked the audience to discuss what they are missing when they use CodeCommit. So for me that is notifications! And in my talk I showed how you can use the AWS APIs to get these notifications. In the end there all sort of events in your accounts that you can hook into. CodeCommit generates these events as well!

But what if you don’t have an event? For example, you are building a feature and you want to create a Pull Request for your feature? There is no event, because you need to create the pull request to generate the event. In my blog Improve your pull request workflow using pull-request-codecommit I address on how you can improve on this. But I also shared this during my talk.

AWS Gameday: F1 League

At the conference there was also an AWS Gameday. I never participated so I thought I would give it a try. It’s a fun experience and I can highly recommend participating if you have the chance.
